Use Of 3D Printing In The Surgical Management Of CHD

Scope of the study: Scope of the study: A retrospective multicenter analysis of the usefulness of the 3D printed models in 4 categories, as this was evaluated by the cardiac team in a scale of 1-3: 1) Family education and counseling,2) Surgical or percutaneous interventional planning, 3) Surgical teaching or simulation, and 4) Evaluation of surgical / interventional result.

Current status: Until now, 3 centers from Europe and USA have submitted data on a total of 57 patients with anatomically challenging congenital heart defects, whom preoperative assessment was based on accurate 3D printed cardiovascular models.
Members interested in participating will have until December 31, 2018 to submit their data.  We plan to submit the results of the study to a major international meeting.
